It is good to see people respond in generosity. It is an evidence of God’s grace.

2 Corinthians 8:1-5 (ESV) 1 We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own free will, 4 begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints— 5 and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.

I am thankful for the generosity of Christ Community Church in response to the need of the Mission Maya. Many gave sacrificially in the way of finances, clothes, luggage, and bike tools.

What a blessing you all are! What a blessing to see the hard work, the cooperative spirit, and the self sacrificial attitude of those who went on the Mission Maya trip. You all would have been proud as your representatives reached out to people in five village churches and two city churches. The group brought the love from Christ Community Presbyterian Church. Knowing you all were praying energized us, and we shared that energy with each church and village.

We thank God for your cards and words of encouragement. That thrilled our hearts beyond expression. What a great thing you did for your Mission Maya team.

From the home team to the team on the field it all went beyond expectation in outrageous behavior showing God’s outrageous love and grace.

Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement, and your faithful giving toward the work in the Mission Maya. Thank you to all who went on the trip and gave your time, talent, and your self in an outrageous way. Thank God for His outrageous love for us and for the forsaken people in the Zona Maya. Thank God for the outrageous opportunity to reach out to people who otherwise may never know of God’s outrageous gift of grace in Jesus Christ.

With outrageous gratitude,
Bob Brubaker
