Jeremiah 18:1–6 (ESV) The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.” 3 So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. 4 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do. 5 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 6 “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. God provides enough in life for all of us in displays of His mercy and grace that the word “unbelievable” or “overwhelmed” is really not good enough to describe what we have experienced. There’s an expression in Psalm 68:19 in the King James Version that really tells us how blessed we are: Psalms 68:19 (KJV) Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. |

Let’s face it—people seem to live on ready to quit on just about everything today. People quit working out, people get out of contracts, people drop out of races, some quit on relationships, and seem to give up on God for what seems to be the smallest things. Where is the commitment today? Very few really have it and those who are committed to seeing things through seem to be tempted on every hand to just quit. |
